Supported document formats

Template Native output Main capabilities
Word (.docx) DOCX Named controls, text, checkboxes, repeating sections, images, safe HTML, and document composition
Excel (.xlsx) XLSX Named cells, direct cell references, typed values, formatting, and repeating ranges
Fillable PDF (.pdf) PDF AcroForm text fields with qualified names

Word and Excel can also produce PDF when the deployment has an enabled, available renderer. PDF support is form filling, not arbitrary page-text replacement.

DocLab implements a documented feature subset. Test your own templates and output fidelity before depending on it for customer workflows. The Power Platform connector is in private preview and is not Microsoft-certified; customer-hosted Marketplace distribution still has release gates and is not presented here as generally available.

About this documentation

These guides are adapted from the DocLab project’s user guide, tenant API-key integration notes, capability reference, and connector documentation. They describe product workflows rather than internal implementation history. Availability depends on the deployed environment; use its capability endpoints and confirm rollout with your operator.
